About endorsed resources
We endorse resources produced by publishers – including Pearson – to support our Edexcel and BTEC qualifications. This means the content of each resource has been reviewed to ensure it offers the best support for teaching and learning.
The endorsement process for commercial teaching and learning resources is managed by the Publisher Relations team. The team works with a range of publishers, including our own publishing teams, to ensure that our qualifications are supported by a variety of high-quality resources. We have an open endorsement policy and there are no barriers to entry, any publisher is free to apply to have their resources endorsed. The team works closely with senior experts who are involved in developing our specifications and assessments to ensure that all the resources we endorse meet the required quality standards.
The process focuses on teaching and learning content. Many endorsed resources will offer assessment guidance and support, including sample and practice questions, tasks or assignments. However, this publisher-produced assessment content has not been ‘approved’ in any way.
For more information on our endorsement process and the criteria we use to decide whether or not to endorse a resource, please view our policies page or email the team: publisher.relations@pearson.com.
Our endorsement principles can be found in this link Endorsement Policy.
Endorsement of a resource doesn’t mean it’s the only suitable material available, or that it is required to achieve the qualification. A Pearson-endorsed resource will have an endorsement logo on it:
