Our training events are designed to give teachers information that’s current, useful and relevant in today’s fast-changing educational environment.

Our courses are run by experienced trainers who offer a wealth of practical knowledge and advice on delivering our qualifications.

Yes, if you have been unable to attend one of our face-to-face or online events we may be able to offer the training as a private event at your school or college. Please visit our centre-based training page for more information.

Yes. If you are not part of a registered Pearson centre you can register as a guest user. If you are part of a registered Pearson centre (schools, colleges or institutions with a Pearson centre number) you'll be asked to log into your account when you make a booking.

Firstly, we suggest that you have a look at our pre-recorded session list, as it has a wide range of sessions that may be able to offer the guidance required. If you can’t find an event that's suitable for you, please send us your contact details and a summary of your requirements using our online form, and a member of the team will get back to you.

Booking an event

Please visit our main training page to book onto one of events. You can also read our step by step guide on how to book a place at one of our events.

If you belong to a Pearson registered centre please speak to your centre administrator about getting set up with an EOL account. If you need general support on your EOL account you can find the Edexcel page here.

You will receive an email booking confirmation from donotreply@pearson.com within 48 hours. If the event is fully booked when you register, you will receive confirmation that you have been placed on the waiting list.

If enough people register their interest for an event that is fully booked, you can add yourself to the waiting list. In the event that we decide to run an additional session we will add you to the new session, if the event is free. If it is a paid event we will notify you by email that a place has become available.

No. Unfortunately we can only accept firm bookings for our events.

Dietary requirements will be met wherever possible, but are subject to availability at venues. Please let us know at the time of booking and at least 14 days before the event date, if you have any special dietary requirements - these can be submitted via the booking form.

If you have any access and support requirements that we should be aware of please notify us by completing this online form. As with dietary requirements, we will need to be informed of any access or support requirements at least 14 days before the event date.

Before the event

All communications will be sent via email. A booking confirmation will be sent within 48 hours of booking. You will then be sent your joining instructions ten working days before your event. A reminder email will be sent five days before the event. If any changes occur within five working days of the event, delegates will also be contacted directly by the training team.

You should receive full joining instructions at least 10 working days before the event. If you have not received these by this time, please let us know using our online form

All events are subject to cancellation up until 14 days before the organised date. Therefore, we suggest you should not arrange any non-refundable travel before this date. NB Pearson are not obliged to refund any travel costs for any of our events.

We do not cover expenses or teacher release fees for delegates.

Unfortunately, due to the Data Protection Act, we can't provide any delegate information. You can, however, swap contact details at the event if you wish to do so.

Cancelling or amending your booking

Yes. Please use our online form providing us with the new event code and new event date that you would like to transfer to.

Yes. If you're unable to attend an event and would like to send a colleague in your place, please let us know using our online form.

If you are unable to attend a paid for event you were booked onto, providing you have paid the full course price, we will be able to send you an electronic copy of the materials used during the course.

If you are unable to attend a free event, we are not able to send you the course materials.

You may cancel within 10 working days from the date of your booking, unless the event falls within the same period. However no refund will be made if you make a cancellation within 10 working days of the date of the training. Please make sure you notify us via email or using this online form.

Your request must include the contact details you provided as part of the purchase process. For full details of our cancellation policy, please read our terms and conditions

All our courses are subject to cancellation or amendment until 14 days before the scheduled date, but we'll give you adequate notice of any changes. These will come via email, but if any changes are made within five working days of your course starting, due to exceptional circumstances, we may contact you by phone also.

Wherever possible, Training from Pearson UK will look to reschedule an event that has been cancelled. The exception to this is where events are cancelled due to low delegate numbers. 

In the case that an event is cancelled for low numbers we can run it as a private session at your centre. If this is something you would be interested in, you can fill in the form for centre based training.

We're currently unable to meet any travel expenses or teacher release fees associated with our events. Please note that all events are subject to cancellation up until 14 days before the organised date. Therefore, we advise not arranging any non-refundable travel until you have received your joining instructions at least ten working days before the event.

After the event

Yes, you will be sent an e-certificate as proof of your attendance. If you have not received this within 2 weeks of the event please get in touch via online form.

Materials from past training events will be published after the event series is completed. To access past training content, you will need your Edexcel Online username and password.

Go to our Qualifications Homepage, select the relevant qualification and then the subject. Go to the 'Course Materials' tab, select the 'Teaching and Learning Materials' section and here you will find the training materials underneath the 'Past Training Content' heading.

A hard copy of the trainer's presentation will be included in your event pack.

Your feedback is vital to improving our courses and making sure they’re helpful to your professional development. After the event, we’ll email you with an event feedback form that you can complete. If you have any more comments or questions about the event, please let us know using our online form.

Online events

Online training is a convenient way to access our live, interactive training from your centre or home, anywhere in the world. It’s easy to set up and you won’t need any special equipment.

If you are the only delegate from your centre joining the training, you can join the training from anywhere you wish. Please make sure you have a reliable internet connection. 

At present, online events are not open to students. 

To maximise the number of centres who attend these sessions we suggest one registration per centre per event series for all our free events. However, there may be instances where we will physically block any additional bookings from the same centre. You may, however, project the session onto an interactive whiteboard to involve your whole department. Our paid-for events are open to as many colleagues from your centre as you wish. However, you (the centre) will be invoiced per individual booking. Many centres find that involving the whole department by projecting the session onto an interactive whiteboard is a more cost-effective option. 

Our online events usually last for two hours. For the exact start and end times, please refer to the event details on the website or, if you have already booked your place on the event, please refer to your booking confirmation.

During a two-hour event you may get a five-minute comfort break; however, this may not always be the case. 

If an online event is a replica of the face-to-face training event, it will say so in the event details.

All Edexcel registered international centres should be able to join our online training events, but please bear in mind the time difference. All of our online events run a UK local time (GMT).

Event recordings are available exclusively to those delegates who have booked and attended.

Online training is often as interactive as face-to-face training, and on many occasions you will be asked to complete activities and participate in the Q&A.  

Once you have booked onto an event following this process you will receive detailed instructions on how to access the online platform after we have confirmed your place and you have received your joining instructions. 

Yes, you can book your place on the day of the event if there are places available, but no later than 12pm GDT. If you book later than 12pm you will not receive the link, and will therefore not be able to join the online event. 

Please log in to the event 15 minutes before the start to ensure any potential connection problems can be resolved and any applications downloaded.

INSET Online are hosting online sessions on behalf of Edexcel. If you have any difficulties logging in, please email INSET Online at info@insetonline.co.uk or call them on 01273 704461. 

If you carried out the initial test and were still unable to join an event, you may be liable for a refund.

To be able to participate in an online event, all you need is a PC or laptop, internet connection and a headset/speakers. If you are training the whole department, you may need a projector to screen the session for all your colleagues to be able to view it. You will not require a microphone.

You will be able to download the presentation handout as soon as you log in to the event. We advise you print this out so that you can make notes during the live event. The rest of the training materials will be available for download in electronic form at the end of each online event.

Event recordings are exclusive to attendees and are not available to a wider audience. Please refer to our website for any future events. 

Event recordings will be sent to all attendees within 2 weeks after the event has taken place.

International events

Yes, If you wish to arrange a customised online event, please complete our online form

We want to keep our face-to-face sessions as interactive as possible so that delegates get the most out of the workshop format. If the group becomes too large the training can become less interactive and hands-on. If an event is intended to be a lecture-style session, we will note this in the event details.

Many of our international training events are offered free of charge. If there is a charge for attendance, details of the delegate fee will be advertised with the event in question.

We want you to enjoy your training. Therefore, we will provide refreshments and lunch where appropriate (unless otherwise specified in your joining instructions).

Private events

Due to Ofqual regulations we cannot customise training on our qualifications. You can select any event that is listed on our website as a private event. If you would like to book onto one of our events, please complete our online form

We can accommodate a maximum of 25 delegates in a centre-based training event to ensure a high quality of delivery. 

Yes. All training materials are delivered to the training venue two working days prior to the event. If the centre will be closed on this date you must contact us to make appropriate arrangements. 

Please ensure you use a room large enough to accommodate the delegation and the trainer. You will need to have a laptop, projector, screen and flip chart all available to the trainer if required.

We kindly ask that you also please provide refreshments for the trainer during the event. 

Yes, to help reduce the cost of training we can offer training to a group of schools or colleges. However, due to the Data Protection Act, we will not be able to provide details of other schools or colleges to ask them to join you. The school or college hosting the event will be expected to make the necessary arrangements.
