Guide to BTEC Quality Assurance
Our BTEC Quality Assurance Handbook is a complete guide to quality assurance and essential reading for everyone in the BTEC team.
Following feedback from you, we’re taking a different approach to how we present this handbook for 2016/2017. Below you will find links to webpages containing relevant information on each of the steps of quality assurance. But if you prefer to print off the information, you can still download the pdf documents.
By providing this information on our website, you’ll be able to:
- search for the information your looking for without having to download several documents
- view the information in a different way, focusing on what’s important to you
Over the next few months we hope to continue improving the BTEC Quality Assurance webpages adding video content, animations and step-by-step guides.
For Entry Level to Level 3 BTEC programmes, it’s a regulatory requirement for you to have a single point of accountability for the quality assurance. This is your Lead Internal Verifier (Lead IV).
Previously Quality Review & Management (QRM), this annual visit process enables us to work in partnership with you to ensure high standards of quality management for BTEC programmes at your centre.
Standards verification is how we check you’re operating appropriate quality assurance across your BTEC programmes and maintaining national standards. External examination is a specific type of standards verification used for our BTEC Level 4-7 (QCF) programmes and BTEC Level 3 and 4 Foundation Diplomas in Art and Design.
