Are you an international centre?

The information here applies to UK centres only. If you're based outside the UK, please contact your local regional office for academic and vocational qualification fees.

Payment for all fees is due 30 days from the date of the invoice. Payment cannot be withheld unless you dispute the amount of the charges by notifying us in writing, within 21 days of receipt of an invoice, giving full details of the amounts disputed and the reason you dispute the charges.

Unless good reason is given for non-payment of invoices by the due date, late payment interest at the rate of 8% plus current bank rate, as per the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, will be charged.

Please make cheques or BACs transfers payable to Pearson Education Limited, and address remittance advices to the Pearson Education Limited Finance Department.

COVID-19 update

If you have submitted payment which has not yet been applied to your account, please contact our credit control department by using the Pearson Portal.

Please allow a minimum of 15 working days from postage, for your cheque to be applied to your account.

We now have a new customer self-service portal called iPay

This service is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, all year round. For further information read our iPay: Online Account FAQs

UK and International general qualification fees 2021

We recognise and appreciate all the additional work that you and your colleagues have been doing for your students as a result of the changes to summer assessment. It’s been another extremely challenging year which has required extraordinary efforts by teachers, schools and colleges.

While your fees are paid at the very end of the two-year course, they cover much more than just the final exams and enable us to provide everything you and your students need throughout the course.

For full details please visit our 2021 qualification fees FAQs page. You'll also find two visual guides that explain what qualification fees cover for both UK and International qualifications, how the money from these fees is spent and how our costs have been affected this year.

You can also read through our frequently asked questions.

Please note, this price list is a live document which we update regularly as our qualifications portfolio develops.

We know many of you are now in the process of gathering the evidence to inform teacher assessed grades, and for some students, this may inform their tier of entry for GCSE maths, science and modern languages.

We recognise that the disruption to learning may be making some of the decisions around tier of entry challenging, so to support you in making these, we are extending the deadline for tier of entry changes to 18 June, and reducing the charges for any changes after this date for GCSE maths, science and modern languages.

Fees waived up to 18 June

We are pleased to confirm that for any changes in tier of entry up to the new deadline of 18 June, fees will be waived. Any tier changes from 18 June will incur a small admin charge of £20 per tier change. As all charges relating to qualification fees run automatically, we will need to adjust your account after fees have been charged. Please see the details below of how this will be applied to your account.

  • If you make a tier change between 22 April and 18 June it will appear as a charge on your account, but we will issue you with a full credit after 18 June.
  • Any tier changes made after 18 June will incur a small admin charge of £20 per tier change. But again, it will appear on your account as a normal late fee charge, and we will issue a credit for the balance.

Arrangements, including deadlines and fees, for International GCSE remain as previously communicated. This is because schools offering International GCSE have the option of using unseen papers to help with grading decisions, with entry tier an important part of this. The deadline for tier of entry changes was 21 April. Find out more about arrangements for International GCSE.

Minimum spend threshold

There's a minimum annual spend requirement of £3000 for all UK colleges and work-based learning centres and we'd usually raise an invoice for the difference between this and your actual spend. However, in order to support our customers during the impact of COVID-19, we'll not be enforcing the minimum spend requirement for 2019/20 and 2020/21 activity.
