Resits for legacy qualifications | Pearson qualifications

Following public consultation, Ofqual has confirmed there will be additional opportunities to resit legacy GCSE, AS and A levels.

Students taking legacy GCSEs will have the opportunity to resit these qualifications after the final scheduled award:

a final resit opportunity for legacy GCSEs in English, English language and mathematics (linear mathematics A and linked pair maths – ‘applications of mathematics’ and ‘methods in mathematics’) in summer 2017
a resit opportunity for legacy GCSEs in Science and Additional Science in January 2018.

Only candidates who were 16 years old by 31 August 2016 may sit legacy GCSE English and maths in summer 2017.
