Welcome back after the summer break. I hope you had time to take a break and are now ready for the new academic year.
This update has information about new training and up dates for the Tech Award (2022) . An update on the reform of the new BTEC National Extended Certificate in Early Childhood Development (AAQ)
Exam dates for Winter 2024 and Summer 2024
You can look at all the exam dates for all BTEC qualifications for both the winter series and the summer series. This should help you with planning for the year.
BTEC Tech Award in Child Development
Results for June 2023 moderation
Results were released to centre on 24th August with the final moderators report.
If you are still not happy with your student results you can apply for a Review of Marking/moderation (service 3) until 28th September.
Training for Preparing for External Assessment (Component 3)
The dates for the External Assessment Component 3 in Child development will be ready soon. Please keep checking the training page for dates and how to book.
Early release of the PSA for Component 1 and 2
To give you and your learners more time the PSAs will be released earlier this year. The PSA was released on 1st September, this is for moderation in the December/Janaury window.
The next PSA will be released 8 January 2024, this is for the May moderation window.

Key Dates for 2023/2024
There is a new Key dates document for the Tech Award. It contains all the dates that you will need for registering students for the course to making entries for the PSAs.
Reform of BTEC Nationals in Early Childhood Development
Keep up to date with everything about the reform of the Level 3 qualifications .
The BTEC Nationals Extended Certificate has been redeveloped and we will keep you updated with what the new specification will look like and how it will need to be delivered. The qualifications have been submitted to the DfE and we are waiting for the response from them about approval and funding.
