Post-results services for Vocational Qualifications in Art, Design and Media

The only Reviews of Marking and Moderation (RoMM) service available for this unit is Review of Moderation (Service 3).

Requests for reviews should be submitted to Pearson through the examinations officer as soon as possible after the issue of results. Requests for Service 3 can be made by the examinations officer via Edexcel Online. Once the request has been received Pearson will arrange for a senior moderator to visit the centre to conduct a review of the moderation. Learners’ marks may be confirmed, lowered or raised but learners’ consent is not required by Edexcel for review of moderation to take place.

Centres will be liable for all associated costs for the visit of the senior moderator to conduct the review of moderation. This includes the senior moderator’s fees, travelling expenses, subsistence costs and, if necessary, accommodation costs and teacher-release payments. Should the centre’s marks be reinstated as final marks no charge will be made.

Please note that requests for RoMMs cannot be accepted if work seen by the original moderator has not been retained by the centre.
