We want to reassure students that there will be no requirement to resit this paper and that they should focus on moving forward and preparing for their next exam. We have processes in place to deal with this issue and to ensure fairness for all students.

We are working around the clock to investigate this situation and evidence suggests that views of the content were extremely limited. However there is a significant amount of misinformation and speculation circulating on social media that we would urge students to ignore.

The exam system relies on people following a clear set of rules and it is therefore disappointing that this dishonest action has let down all schools and colleges who are working so hard to deliver exams this year, as well as the students sitting this summer’s exams. We take this very seriously and will identify the people responsible.

If anybody has further information they would like to share with us in confidence, they can contact us at pqsmalpractice@pearson.com.
