SIA Update

Please be advised that the SIA has updated the list of approved providers for the Physical Intervention (Doors and Close Protection) Train the Trainer programmes.  You can access the updated lists here: Guidance | Teaching SIA licence-linked training courses

You will need to scroll down to the ‘Trainers and assessors’ section, and click on the relevant links to access the updated document.

Tests: Notifying us of cancellations 

A reminder to please notify us if you need to cancel any tests that you have booked and confirmed to us via the Test Notification form.  This will help ensure that a Test Inspector is not allocated to visit your centre unnecessarily.  Many thanks for your co-operation. 

Learner to Assessor Ratios

A reminder that there is a 12:1 learner to assessor ratio for units where there is an assessment of practical skills.  If the number of registrations you are making appears to exceed this ratio according to the assessors approved for your centre, we will be in touch with you to confirm how you are delivering the qualification(s) and confirm that you are operating in accordance with the requirements of the SIA Get Training document and the Security Centre Handbook.  Please ensure you reply to this correspondence promptly.  Many thanks for your co-operation.
