SIA Update - Identity Requirements for Licencing
As of 15 February 2019 the SIA will require identity documents for first time licence applicants and those who are renewing their licence. Applicants to the SIA will need to provide one Group A and two Group B documents as indicated on the SIA website
Awarding Organisations have been instructed by the SIA to continue with their existing arrangements until further notice from the SIA in terms of Centre ID checks.
This means that centres need to be aware that the documents learners present for qualification registration and examination purposes, may differ from what the SIA will require for licensing purposes.
