Changes to Edexcel GCSE History from 2016
Our new GCSE History specification will be available for first teaching from September 2016. The draft specifications will be submitted to Ofqual at the beginning of April 2015 and at this stage we'll upload the draft specification to the website.
We know that many of you teach a 3-year KS4 and may wish to start teaching the new GCSE specification from September 2015. We appreciate that information about the new GCSE specifications would be extremely useful for those of you who structure your curriculum in this way. We also understand that the content of the new GCSE specifications may affect topic choices at A level.
As such, we've been giving a lot of thought to what information might be useful to share with you at this point, even though the specifications are still very much in development.
