Support for new Edexcel AS and A level Geography (2016)
This update is about support for the new Edexcel AS and A level Geography (2016) qualifications, including free Getting Ready to Teach Events, free support materials, and published resources.
Hi,
I'm very pleased to inform you that Ofqual has accredited our new Edexcel AS and A level Geography specifications, for first teaching in 2016 and first assessment in 2017 (AS) and 2018 (A level).
You can download the accredited AS and A level specifications and sample assessment materials from our website now (there are no changes from the draft third version). We'll of course be sending you hard copies in due course.
Getting Ready to Teach events
Our subject specialists are hosting free face-to-face and online Getting Ready to Teach events where you can:
- discover more about structure and content of the new specifications
- discuss teaching and delivery strategies, including co-teaching
- explore and understand the question papers and mark schemes for each exam
- develop ideas for high-quality AS and A level fieldwork and explore how to deliver the Independent Investigation
- hear about the support available to help you every step of the way.
