Following changes made by CITB to the national occupational standards for Interior Systems, please be advised that the current specifications for the above qualification will be updated as of 1st September 2024, to include a new pathway in Dry-Lining Fire Resistant Walls (available in the NVQ Diploma) and an additional mandatory knowledge criterion in a number of units across both qualifications:‘

Describe how fire spreads through a building and how to impede it and protect the structure’.

The new pathway will be available to any centres currently delivering the NVQ Diploma currently, with the version updated on Edexcel Online that includes this option.
