Following updated guidance issued by CITB in July 2014, please be advised of the revised interpretation of Assessment Criteria 2.3. and 2.4 in mandatory NVQ unit ‘Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace’.
It is not necessary for the learner to list the current Health and Safety Executive ‘top ten’ safety risks, nor their current ‘top five’ risks to health, to meet this learning outcome. Learners are allowed to meet this outcome by simply citing the current common safety and health risks.
Information on current risks to safety and health in construction may, or may not, be issued by the Health and Safety Executive itself.
