Geography in the News aims to stimulate discussion about the relevance of geography to our lives and its importance in helping us to make sense of the world around us. In this edition we have selected an article exploring the potential impacts of the proposed Chinese mega dam in Tibet and its impact on future international relations.

NEW: Updated GCSE Geography A & B Textbooks
 

We're publishing new editions of our GCSE Geography textbooks for each specification in April 2025. 

Pearson Edexcel (9-1) GCSE Geography 2nd edition will give you access to the newest, and most up-to-date textbook available. The updated book will reflect the most current data and world events, with fully updated contemporary case studies, and aims to support all students to become confident and engaged geographers. 

Keep an eye out for more information and samples later this term!

You do not have to purchase Pearson published resources in order to deliver Pearson Edexcel qualifications. Other publishers are available. 

A level Geography NEA online submission Summer 2025

This update contains a summary of how to submit A level Geography NEA marks and samples in Summer 2025. It includes guidance on how to submit your marks and samples online, a reminder of the deadlines, the materials you need to submit, and lots of other useful advice and links.

Summer 2025 entry deadline 

The entry deadline for International GCSE and International A level is 21 March 2025.

UK GCSE and A level Geography entry deadline has now passed and late entries will be charged. 

Summer 2026 Provisional Timetables  

The Provisional timetables for Summer 2026 has been available on our Provisional timetables web page from Monday 3rd February. 

Deadline for feedback is Friday 21st March. Please send any feedback to timetables@pearson.com.
