Learners will study a range of mandatory units such as Health, Wellbeing and Sport, Self-employment in Sport and Physical Activity. This pathway is suitable for learners who want to progress either directly into industry or on to further or higher education.

This pathway will help learners gain skills for progression into areas in Sports Business and Sports Journalism. This pathway provides a good range of skills for learners to study further in higher education. Mandatory units include areas such as Marketing Communications and Sports Business allowing progression to higher education or a range of careers in the sporting industry.

This pathway enables learners to understand more about working in different areas in the leisure and fitness industry. For example, working in a leisure centre, facilities management and for a local authority. Mandatory units studied cover areas such as sport and leisure facilities operations and business and technology in personal training, depending on the size of the qualification taken.
