Of the 160 qualifications identified, 41 are Pearson qualifications, and include some BTEC Level 3 qualifications.

Please be assured that our International Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC suites are not impacted by any of these reforms. You can continue to offer International Level 2 and 3 BTECs as planned, and with continued confidence.

Our mission in developing these international qualifications is to ensure that they are benchmarked to Level 2 and 3 standards and that content is accessible and appropriate to international schools, colleges and training providers. We work with global employers and universities to ensure that learners are able to progress with their qualifications to further learning and/or careers.

International Level 2 and 3 BTECs will continue to be available and we will continue to work with you to ensure that you receive the support you need to offer these qualifications.

Please also be confident that BTECs will continue to play a role in the Level 3 landscape in the future in the UK, and that policy makers will not lose sight of what is working well already - namely existing high-quality qualifications that are respected by learners, universities, and employers alike.
