This month brings an update on everything you will need in preparation for results days. Whether you are supporting students, reviewing results, looking for training/support sessions or planning for the upcoming academic year, you will find all the information you need to help you navigate this period successfully.

From results day you can download centre specific moderator feedback for your coursework components (Component 3 and Component 4 for GCSE and GCE PE):
You must have 'Results' selected in your EdexcelOnline profile to download your centre's moderator report. Please ask your Exams Officer if you need this adding to your EdexcelOnline profile.
You can access Summer 2026 grade boundaries on our website from Results day. In addition to the official grade boundaries that are produced at subject level, we also provide notional grade boundaries at paper level. This can help you mark and assess future mocks

ResultsPlus is our free online results analysis tool, that gives you a detailed breakdown of your students'performance in Pearson Edexcel exams.
It provides you with the most detailed analysis available of your students' performance. ResultsPlus will help you to identify topics and skills where your students could benefit from further learning - helping them gain a deeper understanding of their subject.
Teachers can sign into ResultsPlus using their EdexcelOnline username and password if their account profile has ResultsPlus access granted by the Exams Officer.

You can also use our free Access to Scripts service to view your students' marked exam scripts online or download as a PDF. It is available from results day until 11 December 2026.
Providing a rich source of information, you can use this service to help make decisions about requesting a review of marking, but it can also help inform future teaching and learning and gives insights and visibility that performance data alone cannot provide.
Note, you will need 'Exam viewer' in your EdexcelOnline profile if you want to download candidate scripts from results day. Please ask your Exams Officer if you need this adding to your profile.

Access teacher post-results support
The deadline for requesting a Review of Marking and Moderation (RoMM) is 24 September 2026 for GCSE and A level (Services 1, 2 and 3).

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a review of marking/moderation, you may wish to appeal against the decision. We will allow the head of centre (or designated member of the centre's senior management team or examinations manager) 30 calendar days from the receipt of the outcome of the review of marking/moderation, during which an appeal may be lodged using the webform. There is further guidance on appeals on our website
Applications for appeals may only be accepted from a head of centre (on behalf of a candidate or a group of candidates) or private candidates.
As part of our collaborative approach, we invite you to work with us on shaping the new qualification suites. If you would like to collaborate with us on the development of the new Level 2 and Level 3 qualification suites, please register your interest to join the Qualification Reform Community – Sport and Physical Activity. This is voluntary group that we will collaborate with to shape the future qualification design.
We are offering support sesions for teachers to deliver the GCSE PE, GCE PE and/or BTEC Tech Award in Sport (2022) specifications. These sessions will identfiy key observations related to candidate performance highlighted in the examiner/moderator reports and provide strategies to help with the planning for the year ahead.

Special consideration for GCSE PE – Component 3
For Practical Performance, if the centre has formally assessed the candidate(s) and awarded the mark during the course of study it is not required for candidate(s) to apply for special consideration. You must inform the moderator that you have formally assessed the learner in all activities, and is now injured and cannot be part of the sample. You should then submit the marks in exactly the same way as you do for every other learner.
However, if the candidate(s) has never been formally assessed in one or more activity during the whole course of study, then they should apply for special consideration.
If the candidate(s) has failed to participate in an assessment/examination without valid reason, it is expected that they will be awarded the mark of absent and special consideration cannot be requested.

Centres will need to fill in two forms:
• JCQ’s Form 10
• Pearson’s Form 10 (for practical performance)

We recently published the BTEC key dates and term-time checkpoints for 2025/26. While your exams officers will take the lead on most of these activities, your support will be important to help meet these deadlines, so it’s useful to be aware of what is required and when.
