T Levels Introductory technical skills
Your T Level Foundation Year should include introductory technical knowledge and practical skills to prepare students for their chosen T Level route.
This component is not expected to be the biggest in terms of hours, therefore it should not be the substantial part of your delivery. But it will be a strong motivating factor for students and will help to keep them engaged and interested.
We believe having a recognised qualification gives your students the drive and motivation to succeed. Plus, if they change their progression pathway, for example progress to an apprenticeship instead of a T Level, they will have a formal qualification that is recognised by employers to help enter employment.
Clear mapping to T Level routes
We have mapped the technical knowledge and skills from the T Level Technical Qualification into our Post 16 Level 2 BTEC qualifications.
This gives you visibility of how Level 2 BTEC can build a solid foundation and effectively prepare your students and support their progression onto a T Level.
We've created high-level mapping of the T Level routes into our Post-16 Level 2 BTEC qualifications.
This gives you a shanpshot of the appropriate qualifications that could be used to support progression into specific T Level routes.
We've created detailed mapping for the T Level Technical Qualification knowledge and skills into our Post-16 Level 2 BTEC qualifications or specific units.
