Recognising the achievements of the standout BTEC stars, in what has been another challenging year for education, we were struck once again by the resilience and commitment of the BTEC community - the learners, the tutors and teachers, the colleges, the schools and centres - who have adapted, innovated, pushed themselves and persevered to overcome the challenges of Covid-19.

During the event, we heard from all 20 of our outstanding gold award winners and their nominators, who all shared their inspirational stories and what the awards meant to them. We were also treated to four brilliant performances from our Showstopper Challenge winners.

We also featured spotlight sessions focusing on:

  • CAMFED: an international organisation that helps women achieve an education
  • Esports : this is a new BTEC sector and will have its own category for the BTEC Awards in 2022
  • A big thank you from Pearson BTEC to all the hard-working and committed teachers and tutors who have done an incredible job of bringing learning to life, despite the challenges of the past eighteen months.
