New apprenticeships Senior Healthcare Support Worker (L3)
This apprenticeship has been designed to be taken by anyone wanting to work as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker. The apprentice can specialise in a specific area, including, Adult Nursing Support Worker, Maternity Support Worker, Theatre Support Worker, Mental Health Support Worker, Allied Health Professions (Therapy Support Worker) or Children and Young People Support Worker.
In order to meet the apprenticeship standard apprentices will be required to hold or achieve a:
- Achieve Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support
- Minimum of Level 2 English
- Minimum of Level 2 Maths
- Complete the 15 standards required by the Care Quality Commission
The on-programme pace will be driven by the apprentice as well as by the breadth of experience an employer can offer prior to the minimum of 18months, after which end-point assessment will take place.
