Students taking legacy AS and A levels will have the opportunity to resit these qualifications after the final scheduled award, regardless of the subject. These resits will be in May or June of the following year.

Only candidates who have previously entered for the AS/A level (with Pearson or another JCQ Awarding Body) may be entered for the legacy resit. Only candidates who have good reason (such as illness) not to have taken the qualification when planned may be entered. This means that a candidate who has only completed a legacy AS level by the final scheduled exam series may not go on to do a full A level in the resit exam series.
