November 2025 Business update
Welcome to this November 2025 update.
The lead this month is an invitation to join us as an examiner for the 2026 exam series. Becoming an examiner is a great way to deepen your subject expertise, spread your assessment knowledge within your department and acquire valuable insights into the assessment process, empowering you to better prepare your learners for their exams.
You can enjoy the convenience of working remotely, fitting it around your other commitments, and augmenting your income. It can also help you build your professional networks and benefit from opportunities for progression and continuous professional development.
Please take a look at the opportunities below.

Many teachers have been emailing me asking about the future of our qualifications and if and when they will change. The final report of the Curriculum and Assessment Review due out in November may provide more information.
The interim report was published in March.
We are now waiting for the publication of the Curriculum and Assessment Review.
Pearson has shared its views on what meaningful change in education could look like, including putting the spotlight on why it’s time for a post-16 resit rethink—a topic that has sparked national conversation.

The report highlights persistent gaps in provision across the UK that need further attention and calls for a Financial Education Youth Guarantee; including financial education at every stage of learning; Financial Education Champions in every school; and a national financial education resource hub.
The report also highlights examples of positive practice and recent developments that could be scaled up, as well as specific recommendations to improve financial education.
You can access the full report, and executive summary, on the APPG’s webpage:
This is a recorded session which focuses on best practice when using ResultsPlus, alongside ExamWizard to analyse your students’ examination results, and improve your in-house approach to teaching the topics your students find challenging.
The Professional Development Academy summarises the training that is available to you.
