Support and development events for Quality Assurance

The Pearson Quality Advisor (PQA) team offer a comprehensive range of free development and networking events,  online. These events meet the needs of different centre types and support everyone involved with quality assurance.

In return, we ask for two minutes of your time to complete our evaluation to help us improve our services for customers. We will send this to you electronically after the event.

Free online events - 2021

NB. It is good practice to share these CPD events with your BTEC Teams, but please consider making just one or 2 bookings for the event and gathering staff together in one room to participate; this means more people can join us up to the 200 attendee limit..

Aimed at: new Quality Nominees, those who may not have overseen BTEC qualifications before or those returning to the role who would like a refresher of the responsibilities involved

This session will: introduce you to the key responsibilities of the role of Quality Nominee and take you through the support available to you to make a success of the role. This is recommended as the first session that you access, so that you can have an overview of what is involved and will provide a clearer understanding of the other sessions available.

This session will: The event will provide practical support and advice on how to define, understand and recognise plagiarism.  Using pre-event materials, we will explore what constitutes plagiarism, how it can be identified, how to minimise risk and the consequences of submission of plagiarised assessments.
