About the role
The Transport Planning Technician Standard has been developed following consultation with a range of employers, including Atkins, CH2M, Arup, Transport for London and local authorities.
Transport Planning Technicians support Professional Transport Planners in their work to implement policies, plans and projects to support transport systems and their services. They will be: involved in projects; involved in the design phase of constructing transport infrastructure; helping to promote sustainability, to ensure economic growth and to protect the environment - whilst meeting the needs of the client and service user.

Qualifications
In order to meet the apprenticeship standards, apprentices must achieve:

The qualification and skills portfolio have been designed with employers in the apprenticeship group who confirm this meets the knowledge and skills standard required in the apprenticeship. Evidence of this is required at the gateway to End Point Assessment.
As both a vocational and academic awarding organisation, we can offer a wide range of English and maths qualifications in line with your standards’ requirements from Functional Skills through to GCSEs.
