About the role
This apprenticeship is usually completed in 3 years. It is for apprentices who wish to gain the skills, knowledge and behavioural competencies required to work in a Construction Site Supervisor role.
Construction Site Supervisors are responsible for overseeing specialist contractors and workers on construction projects and are based mainly on site, with occasional time in offices, monitoring and ensuring work is carried out appropriately and to the standards required.
The main duties include supervision, controlling health and safety, recording and reporting on project progress, minimizing environmental impact, quality control and cost monitoring.
Typical job titles can include: Assistant Site Manager, Assistant Supervisor or Construction Site Supervisor.

Qualifications
In order to meet the apprenticeship standards, apprentices must achieve:
- Minimum of Level 2 maths and Level 2 English

Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Construction
Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Construction and the Built Environment
In addition, to aid the recording of achievement of competence on-programme, centres may also choose to deliver:
Pearson Edexcel Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision
