Changes to Edexcel GCSE History for first assessment Summer 2025

Following the summer 2023 series, we have undertaken a comprehensive review of our assessment model, interviewed teachers, and identified ways to improve the student experience. In order to implement these improvements as soon as possible, we have not made significant amendments to the structure of question papers. We are confident that these small changes will make a big difference. The following changes to assessment have been approved by Ofqual and are being introduced for first assessment Summer 2025.
