BTEC Specialist qualifications Retailers (L2)

Here you’ll find information and support for teaching and studying BTEC Specialist Level 2 qualification for Retailers. The BTEC Level 2 Certificate for Retailers is for learners working, or intending to work in a customer-facing retail job role where they assist customers in purchasing products and services. It is designed to support the off-the-job training and development of apprentices on the Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard. It is also for those individuals not on an apprenticeship programme but who wish to achieve a qualification to prepare for employment.

The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate for Retailers is not a mandatory requirement within the Retail Apprenticeship Standard. However, as it is aligned to the knowledge and behaviours outcomes of the apprenticeship standard, it provides structure for the off-the-job training element of the apprenticeship and builds the foundation for learners to develop occupational competence in the job role.
