BTEC Specialist qualifications Retailers (L2)

The BTEC Level 2 Certificate for Retailers is designed to support the off-the-job training and development of apprentices on the Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standards. BTEC Level 2 Certificate for Retailers is not a mandatory requirement within the Retailers Level 2 apprenticeship standard. However, as it is aligned to the knowledge and behaviours outcomes of the apprenticeship standard, it provides structure for the off-the-job training element of the apprenticeship and builds the foundation for learners to develop occupational competence in the job role.

The BTEC Level 2 Certificate for Retailers is also suitable for learners not on an apprenticeship programme but who wish to achieve a recognised qualification to prepare for employment in a customer-facing retail job role that requires assisting customers in purchasing products and services.
