The white paper, published on 20 October 2025, set out significant changes to vocational education in England. A key part of these reforms is the introduction of V Levels: new Level 3 vocational qualifications designed to sit alongside A levels and T Levels.

Teaching Digital, Health and Social Care and Science in England?

Funding for large Digital, Health and Social Care and Science vocational qualifications is expected to be removed. These reforms aim to simplify the post‑16 landscape by focusing on T Levels and smaller technical or academic qualifications. Changes to funding are expected to be in place from September 2026.
