Top tips for the exam period

We also want to share a few tips and tricks, as well as handy guides and links to places you can turn to for support before, during and after the exam period.

CPD networks

Do keep an eye out for our post-exam CPD networks. These will include, ‘motivating your low attainers’, ‘post-16 support and Autumn Term Bootcamp’, ‘getting ready to teach GCSE statistics’, and so much more.
Spotlight – Round 2: Face to Face Collaborative Network Meetings
These FREE in-person meetings are back for a second time post-pandemic. Each meeting aims to give colleagues a chance to build a network of local support and share good practice in a face-to-face setting.

By attending your local network, you can look forward to:

  • Some exciting updates about a new qualification we are developing, we will also dive into
  • A look at the new features and resources on the Maths Emporium
  • Discussing how you manage the mathematical transition from primary to secondary school.

Our Brand New AS Level Maths Mock Set 2 was released onto the website on Friday. The AS Maths Mock set 1 will now be moved to the Maths Emporium. All our mocks are created by the same team that write the live exam papers to give you the confidence to use them in internal assessments.

Our new Top Ten Tips for A Level Maths and Further Maths to help students as they approach the exams is now on the Emporium.

Our recent online session taking a Deep Dive into Teaching and Revising Ladder Problems is now on our YouTube channel. It’s well worth a look through as you approach final revision with students

For Maths in Context (Core Maths), we have our new Project Book mapping, with links to the specification areas and we’ve uploading our large print modified papers to the Emporium.
