Links to the 2018 timetables and oral windows
Discover the dates for the 2018 and oral windows for all Pearson-Edexcel language qualifications and gain easy access to the 2018 timetables.
UK and International timetable documents are available for all the qualifications that we offer.
You’ll note that dates of the orals don’t appear in the timetable documents as they are considered ‘non-exam assessments’. These are, however, available in the 2018 Edexcel Information manual and are shown in the grid below.

Please take care to click on the ‘International centres’ or ‘UK centres’ tab when accessing these documents from the website. Orals for each language and qualification should take place on one day within the specified dates or over consecutive days if your centre has larger cohorts.
Latest or legacy units?
Legacy (previous specification) French, German and Spanish AS and A2 units will be offered in summer 2018 as final 'resit only' units. All students entering for French, German or Spanish AS or A levels for the first time must take the latest qualifications.
Legacy AS Chinese, Italian and Russian units will be offered either for those resitting them or for those taking the full legacy A level in the summer in a linear fashion (combining AS with A2 in one sitting). Students who started study from this September and who want an AS qualification in 2018 for Chinese, Italian and Russian must take the new AS qualification. Summer 2018 will be the last time that the legacy A level will be available in these three languages (although a 'resit only opportunity will be offered in 2019).
AS and A level?
It is also important to note that the latest AS qualifications are no longer an integral part of the 2016 & 2017 specification A levels and, therefore, that those wishing to take one of these A levels do not need to sit the linked AS.
