Many of our students consider progression onto an undergraduate degree. To enable students to progress to further study, we work directly with higher education institutions across the globe to create pathways for learners towards degree level study.
We have progression opportunities worldwide for BTEC International and Higher National qualifications.

There are two different types of agreement that we have in place with higher education institutions, depending on the level of qualification and institution.
One agreement is regognition, where an institution confirms that they recognise Pearson qualifications and they will consider applications from our learners, assessing them on an individual basis.
The process involves confirming the relevant degree programme and Pearson qualification to be mapped, as well as the year of entry and any other specific requirements. We are then able to promote entry criteria for a specific HNC/HND pathway, giving the learner more guidance and confidence in their application.
The Degree Finder is a tool that enables students to search for institutions who recognise our qualifications or have provided articulated pathways. We also have advertising opportunities for our HE partners to promote their courses to students through our Degree Finder. Find out more in the link below.
Pearson has worked with UK ENIC, ECCTIS in providing more guidance for learners, who are seeking progression towards higher education study, within countries that host education systems aligned to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). The letter below has been issued by the UK’s National Information Centre for global qualifications and skills and outlines the comparison of credit between Ofqual’s Regulated Qualifications Framework and the EQF.
