What is systems familiarisation

This is called systems familiarisation, and it’s really important. It requires you to practise logging in, checking your equipment, and using the Assessment Player – without the pressure of an exam. Think of it like a rehearsal. The more familiar everything feels, the more confident you’ll be on exam day.

In order to be issued login details for your examinations, it is compulsory to complete at least one paper-based assessment in the Assessment Player from setup to submission to ensure you test your device settings and understand how to navigate the platform.

Once entries have been made, your school or centre will provide you with:

  • login details
  • instructions on when to complete the assessments
  • guidance documentation to walk you through the process step-by-step
