Why choose GCSE Religious Studies A?

  • Our exam papers have been designed with a straightforward structure and consistent use of command words in questions.
  • We regularly talk to teachers to make sure our specifications suit your needs. For example, we recently made changes to our (d) evaluation questions following teacher feedback to provide a better experience for all students.

  • It gives students the opportunity to study a ‘primary’ religion in depth (Catholic Christianity, or Islam), as well as one of seven ‘second’ religions, along with either a philosophy and ethics paper or a textual study.
  • It encourages students to develop a greater knowledge and understanding of the world around them.
  • We want to make teaching our qualifications as easy as possible and have developed free support and resources to help you and your learners every step of the way.

New! Entry Level Certificate

Our brand new Entry Level Certificate, available to support Specification A centres who have chosen to study Catholic Christianity and Judaism, has been designed to ensure that students working below Grade 1 at GCSE have an alternative qualification to adequately reward their studies. Alternatively, it can be used as a progression course prior to GCSE.
