Pearson Edexcel GCSE Religious Studies A (2016)
Teaching support
We're here to provide you with the extensive support you need to plan and implement GCSE (9-1) Religious Studies A successfully.
Bringing to life the foundations of faith and practice
We understand the challenges of the new GCSE, that's why we developed a qualification that offers an approach to assessment that gives students the best opportunity to show what they know and can do.
Allows students to undertake an in-depth study of Catholic Christianity, Christianity or Islam, and encourages a critical and reflective approach to the study of religion. This specification allows for a greater emphasis to be placed on the study of one religion and brings to life the foundations of faith and practice.
Offers flexibility in religions and topics to ensure it is relevant and engaging to your students, including the option to choose Philosophy and Ethics or a Textual Study of Mark’s Gospel or the Qur’an.
Our straightforward assessments are designed to be accessible to all students with a clear structure and easy to follow command words. In addition, our exam papers are split by religion, helping students to focus when it comes to revising.
We’ll provide a programme of teaching and learning support to help you plan and deliver your chosen course and understand fully the new content and assessment requirements.
