Advance copies of the Student Book

A full copy of the Student Book will be made available online, in advance of publication, for customers who place early firm orders. This will enable you to start planning and early term teaching, in advance of receiving the printed books. These will be online flick-books, not downloadable PDFs.

On publication of the books, the advance copy will be removed, and the URL will redirect you to the title home page.

Free access to scripts (ATS) for summer 2017

Our Access to Script (ATS) services provide copies of your candidates' marked exam papers. Scripts do not have examiner annotation on them.

The marked script shows how a student has answered compared to what they have been taught. The Principal Examiner's Report and the exemplars demonstrate how the mark scheme is applied.

This service will be available for the International A Level and International GCSE in Accounting.

You will be able to view and download scripts which have been marked free of charge, after the summer 2017 results have been published in August, from our self-service portal.

You should save and/or print any scripts that you need for teaching and learning purposes before the post-results deadline.

The JCQ's post-results services guide for summer and November 2017 has more information on deadlines.

More information about the free scripts service

You will be emailed more information about the free script service shortly, but you can access the 'Access to scripts self-service portal guide' and our post-results pages.

We already have our Pearson’s progress to university website which provides helpful guides, blogs and information on making the next step to university.

Do you know about our Progression Plus Facebook Channel?

I just wanted to update you on the social media activity we are undertaking to support you, your students and their parents relating to progression opportunities for students with Edexcel qualifications through our Progression Plus Facebook channel.

Facts about our Facebook page to date:

  • Increase of 44k followers in 12 months
  • 66% of our Facebook followers are aged 18-24.
  • 31% are female.
  • Top 5 countries for followers are Myanmar, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt and Indonesia.

What do our Facebook audience like?

Student content - We focus on original content by sourcing many student and graduate blogs.

University content

Find out more about the opportunities, challenges and advice that our student/graduate bloggers have identified.  Every blog produced is of use.  Some are not necessarily Accounting related but provide useful information about, for example, how to choose a university course, what it is like studying in two different countries and preparing for life after university.

This year we wanted to supplement the student perspective with university perspectives too. Andrew Hood from the University of South Wales gives some great guidance in his first blog this month.  In a couple of weeks we will also have a similar feature for Canada and many more of these blogs are planned for the future.

Topical news and Pearson resources

We also know that you and your students love a good university rankings story – so we keep our eyes peeled for good news stories that we can share with you.

What’s next?

We have a robust content plan prepared and look forward to keeping you informed – but don’t forget to like our Facebook page to follow our content and share relevant posts with your students and colleagues.
