Pearson have been working with AAT and pleased to confirm that students who complete the T Level Technical Qualification in Accounting, they will be exempt from the Q2022 units below:
Qualification |
Exemptions from: Level 3 Diploma in Accounting |
T Level Technical Qualification in Accounting |
· Business Awareness · Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements |
T Level students will also be well prepared when progressing onto AATs Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting; however we would recommend additional learning from Level 3 Management Accounting Techniques to prepare students for the Level 4 Applied Management Accounting unit.
We are seeking expressions of interest for our Legal Services Provider Validation Panel (PVP) – this is where we ask you to take part in the development and work with us to make sure the Technical Qualification is right for your students and manageable for you to deliver.
Let us know if you want to join the PVP, please remember to select which subject area you would like to join.
For those of you delivering the T Level in Legal Services from September 2023 being part of the panel will give you early insight to the specification and assessments as they are developed. Not only does this give you the opportunity to feed into content, assessment type, manageability, resourcing etc. it also allows you to prepare your curriculum and delivery before the final specifications are published.

Pearson will be utilising our ResultsPlus platform to support the T Level Core Examinations. ResultsPlus is a free online results analysis tool for teachers that gives a detailed breakdown of your students’ performance in Pearson Edexcel exams, BTEC external assessments, and now T Level Core Examinations.
Core Examination results will be available on ResultsPlus on student results day, enabling you to access and review student marks in more detail. For more information visit our ResultsPlus website.
We know you may have some questions on Results Day, so to help direct your question please note the following:
Pearson are responsible for delivering the Technical Qualification which is one element of the T Level. Pearson deliver assessment and results for the following components of the Technical Qualification:
- Core Component Examinations
- Employer Set Project
- Occupational Specialist Project
Results are released to Providers either in March or August (depending on when the student sat the assessment). Providers will receive a results slip, please note Technical Qualification certificates are not provided.
Pearson transfers all component results to the Department for Education via ESFA. DfE are responsible for the following elements, so please contact them directly if you have any questions:
- Aggregating and issuing T Level grades
- Issuing T Level certificates
- The transfer of T Level grades to UCAS
- The Industry Placement
We would like to work with you and some of your employers to follow some of your students during their industry placement. The aim is to create some case studies to show the benefits to the qualification outcomes. If you are happy to share industry placement employer details, please contact the Stakeholder Engagement Manager Andrew Hambelton.
Pearson’s T Level Quality Reviewer (TQR) undertake monitoring calls to discuss your delivery, administration, and quality assurance. This call is to make sure you maintain ongoing compliance to keep your approval status for the Technical Qualification.
The TQR is not a technical subject expert, as such they will not be able to answer questions on specification content or curriculum delivery. For this, please take advantage of the Q&A Network Sessions (see above) or contact the Subject Advisor direct, their details are on the relevant TQ webpage.
We have several vacancies for T Level examiner and assessors. Getting involved is a perfect way to increase your knowledge of the specification, understand what sits behind the marking process, and improve your overall knowledge of the qualification – which will support your teaching and delivery too. Look at our Working With Us page for more information.
