- With the switch from modular to linear GCSE, there will be no more January sessions for moderation after January 2013. Here’s how it affects GCSE ICT.
- Hosting Controlled Assessment Briefs online
- Controlled Assessment Briefs (CABs) should not be made publicly available online.
- GCSE ICT specification extension
- The current GCSE ICT (2010) specification has been extended for delivery in September 2016.
- CAB availability
- The session availability of the CABs for both Unit 2 and Unit 4 have been updated in line with the extension of the specification.
- DfE announcement on redevelopment of GCSE ICT for September 2017
- DfE has announced that GCSE IT qualifications cannot be developed for first teaching in September 2017 as a replacement for current GCSE ICT qualifications.
