As an ESFA-approved end-point assessment organisation, we put end-point assessment (EPA) at the heart of apprenticeship planning, embedding regular touchpoints with employers and training providers to ensure apprentices are fully prepared for their assessments.
Our end-point assessment service
We provide a high-quality EPA service that is consistent and reliable. We will support you at every stage of the EPA journey with expert knowledge, EPA resources and services, so you can concentrate on supporting your learners through their on-programme learning.
Steps to success within Apprenticeship Standards
We have designed a step-by-step guide, with sign-posts to our key supporting information, resources and services available at every stage of the process.
Our EPA offer for employers and training providers includes:
Our EPA delivery management team will be on-hand to support you at every step of the EPA journey, including certification claim from ESFA and post-EPA support.
Our comprehensive EPA documents and additional resources for each standard will provide you with all the information you need to get started with EPA planning. It comes with materials for apprentices to help them understand how, and in what form, their knowledge, skills and behaviors will be assessed.
Our independent end-point assessors are carefully chosen and vetted to meet Pearson’s quality standards and the requirements stated by the assessment plan. This ensures that learners are assessed inline with the sector. By having assessors who have current occupational competence, this will ensure that the learners experience is in line with current sector priorities.
A quick results turnaround means you can plan for, and support, further progression or development needs of learners without losing any momentum.
We provide rich feedback that includes a clear summary of the learners performance across each component. Where a learner has not achieved a component, a detailed breakdown will be provided to enable further support and timely intervention to occur.
Where applicable, our EPAs can be delivered remotely or face-to-face, depending on the needs of learners and employers. During the planning meeting undertaken by the independent end-point assessor, this will be discussed to ensure the format meets the needs of the learner.
You can use Pearson as your end-point assessment provider regardless of whether you choose to use our on-programme offer.
