Payroll and Pensions
The Associates Payroll and Pensions team is responsible for the end-to-end payroll cycle for all Associates. We are responsible with fee, expenses and teacher release payments for the entire contracted workforce.
Relations and Development
The Relations and Development Team act as a human resources function for all Associates. We deal with all aspects of the associate life cycle, advising both internal teams and associates on everything from contracting to misconduct. We also run several development programmes for our Associates, the yearly associate survey, CPD and focus groups.
Resourcing and Recruitment
The Recruitment Team recruits for a wide variety of roles across the qualifications suite for a number of different departments within the business. Each year we recruit 9000+ Associates to mark, write, verify and deliver our qualifications. We review every single application form we receive to ensure that all our applicants are suitably qualified before appointment. We liaise with a number of different departments throughout the business to ensure the on-time delivery of our qualifications.
Training and Events
The Training and Events team is responsible for the planning and scheduling of training events, which includes setting up both face-to-face and online meetings. We track, report and analyse attendance and outcome so that there will be better support for delegates (both internally and externally). The purpose of the standardisation trainings we organise is to ensure that Associates meet the national standards.
Contracting and Allocations
The Contracting and Allocations team is responsible for issuing Associates with contracts for marking across the entire suite of Pearson qualifications, and a wide range of non-marking activities such as training, test paper writing and content production.
