Lit in Colour pioneers (GCSE and A level)
Apply by 30 April to gain free access to a variety of content, including free set texts, training, digital resources and a Lit in Colour mini library with 200 free Penguin books by Black, Asian and minority ethnic writers.

Bloomsbury Lit in Colour student scene-writing competition
for students aged 14-19
Drawing on ideas, themes and dramatic inspiration present in the Lit
in Colour Pioneers curriculum play texts - such as 'The Empress' and 'Refugee Boy',
Bloomsbury are giving students the opportunity to write their own scene for the
stage around the theme of ‘belonging’.
This week, we wrote to all centres with entries for our two English language GCSEs to inform you about some minor amendments to the writing mark schemes.

We’re delighted to announce that from September 2024, students have two additional choices: ‘Western Lane’ by Chetna Maroo and ‘Klara and the Sun’ by Kazuo Ishiguro. First assessment is in May/June 2026.

Minor amendment to the 1EN2 (2.0) mark schemes from the June 2024 exam series
I am getting in touch to let you know that we have made a very minor update to the mark schemes for GCSE English Language 1EN2, which will take effect in the May/June 2024 exam series.
