Our Essential Skills Northern Ireland qualifications in Communication (Levels 1 and 2) encourage learners to develop and demonstrate their ability to select and apply communication skills in ways that are appropriate.
They are split into the following two components:
- an externally set and marked combined reading and writing exam
- an internally set and marked speaking and listening assessment that is externally verified
