June 2024 assessment materials

Now that exams are over, you will soon have the opportunity to access the June 2024 exam materials (with Edexcel Online login) when they are published on the website in from 2 July. You’ll use these when reviewing any scripts after results days in August and for mocks.

At this time of year, many teachers ask whether there are any changes to specifications for the forthcoming academic year.

GCSE

English Language 1EN0 and 2.0: we advised you of minor changes to the mark schemes which came into effect in the June 2024 exam series.
No changes to the English Literature specification.

ELC

No changes to the specification or assessments. The reading assessments remain valid for the lifetime of the specification.

Int GCSE

English Language A and B: no changes
English Literature: addition of ‘Klara and the Sun’ and ‘Western Lane’ to the Modern prose options on Paper 1 for first assessment in June 2026.

A level

No changes to any of the English AS or A level specifications.

IAL

No changes to either of the English specifications.
