We have introduced calculator and non-calculator tests at Entry Level 3 and redesigned the assessment objectives to support progression to GCSE (9–1) Mathematics.
Every aspect of our new qualification is based around enabling Entry Level students to show what they can do, from the carefully selected content and clearly worded questions, to the level-targeted tests which assess small increments of progress, and the assessments that are designed to be taken when the student is ready. There are no time limits for the assessments and plenty of retake opportunities.
All the assessments in our qualification are 100% externally set and internally marked, with a small number of assessment components at each level.
We’ll provide support for you to plan, teach, track and assess the new Entry Level Certificate qualification successfully, including a Getting Started Guide, sample assessment materials and training events. You’ll also have the popular Mathematics Emporium at your fingertips to support teaching and learning.
