End-point assessment updates
We have implemented the recommended contingency arrangements for the Large Goods Vehicle Driver and Supply Chain Warehouse Operative EPAs due to COVID-19, into our specifications, as per the IFATE Published arrangements. For LGV Driver this includes allowing witness testimonies, logs and Q&A instead of the competence assessment with an External Assessor. For Supply Chain Warehouse Operative it allows for remote assessment to take place.
We have now updated documentation online for EPA’s in LGV Driver, Supply Chain Operator and Supply Chain Warehouse Operative in line with NSAR guidance, to include additional definitions of the types of evidence expected to demonstrate the Distinction attributes, and to implement a new mandatory 100% pass mark on all performance criteria (all Pass or Distinction criteria to be met for a Pass/ Distinction respectively). This is applicable for all apprentices taking assessment from 1 January 2021. All apprentices including re-sitting candidates will use the current requirements and specification until 31 December 2020.
Qualification extensions and withdrawals
We have recently reviewed a number of qualifications that were reaching review date, particularly in light of SASE apprenticeships finishing, have made decisions to either extend or withdraw them. There is also a list of qualifications that are ending on 31 July 2020, which were previously communicated.
