Pearson BTEC Nationals in Engineering - delivered as part of an Apprenticeship

BTEC Nationals in Engineering are changing for full time students from September 2016.  As part of SASE requirements, these new qualifications cannot be used in Apprenticeship delivery (unless part of new Apprenticeship Standards).  Therefore the existing QCF qualifications are still available for registration for Apprenticeship delivery.  It is currently anticipated that these qualifications will be available for Apprenticeship delivery until December 2017 when it is predicted that existing SASE frameworks will be shut down, however these dates are still provisional and further updates will be communicated via Insight.  Should you have any immediate queries or questions please do not hesitate to contact us

Claiming Apprenticeship Certificates via ACE

We have been informed by SEMTA that centres are currently using screen prints from Edexcel Online and uploading these to ACE in replacement for Certificates.  Can centres be aware that the information contained within this document is not always consistent with the requirements for ACE.  This information does not contain the QAN Number which is required by ACE to confirm qualification details.

Whilst this information can still be used to claim Apprenticeship certificates, providers need to be aware that FISSS/ACE/SEMTA may require you to provide additional information to support the claim (i.e. Certificate or proof of QAN number).

If you have any queries about this issue please do not hesitate to contact us
