Textiles Manufacturing Qualifications

As part of the Ofqual review of qualifications at Level 3 and below, we have identified a number of qualifications within the Textiles Manufacturing sector that fall under their category of less than 100 registrations per year.

As these qualifications are also linked to the SASE Apprenticeship Standards which are being withdrawn on the 31 July 2020, we are withdrawing the following qualifications for new registrations from the 31 July 2020.  The last date for certification on any of these qualifications will be the 31 July 2022.

The qualifications that are being withdrawn are as follows:

  • 600/4313/1 Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Apparel, Footwear, Leather or Textile Production
  • 600/4140/7 Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Apparel, Footwear, Leather or Textile Production
  • 600/4139/0 Pearson Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Footwear and Leather
  • 600/4135/3 Pearson Edexcel Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Manufacturing Sewn Products
  • 600/4138/9 Pearson Edexcel Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Apparel Manufacturing Technology
  • 600/4323/4 Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Textile Design and Manufacture

These qualifications will continue to be available for registration and delivery from the Skills and Education Group/ABC Awards

  • 500/5962/2 ABC Awards Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Manufacturing Sewn Products
  • 500/6572/5 ABC Awards Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Footwear and Leather
  • 500/6576/2 ABC Awards Level 2 Certificate in Apparel, Footwear, Leather or Textile Production
  • 501/0088/9 ABC Awards Level 3 Diploma in Apparel Footwear or Leather Production
  • 500/5454/5 ABC Awards NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Apparel Manufacturing Technology
  • 600/0088/0 ABC Awards Level 3 Diploma in Textile Design and Manufacture
