Early Years update - August 2019
An update on the Early Years sector in August 2019.
Qualification update
Skills for Care has now updated the Intermediate Children and Young People’s Workforce Apprenticeship Framework as of 1 September 2019 to include the DfE approved Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualifications as a mandatory requirement for those working with Early Years children.
Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce can still be used for those working outside of early years.
Our new qualification, Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners or updated BTEC Level 2 Technical Diploma in Children’s Play, Learning and Development (Early Years Practitioner) both meet the mandatory requirements of Early Years Practitioner and are available as part of Children and Young People's Workforce (England) framework.
