The grade boundaries for linear AS qualifications in French, German and Spanish (2016 specifications) and linear AS qualifications in Chinese, Italian and Russian (2017 specifications) are issued at qualification level (using scaled subject marks) and are no longer awareded at paper level. Guidance has been produced to explain why scaling occurs and how it affects a candidate's raw marks.

We have produced a guidance document, which you can download here, to explain why scaling occurs and how it affects a candidate's raw marks.

You can also use our online converter to help you transfer raw marks into scaled ones. This should prove helpful when marking mock exams and used in conjunction with the relevant AS qualification grade boundaries and notional component grade boundaries.
