Post-series survey

If your students took exams in the May/June 2026 series, we’d really value your feedback.

Your views help us understand what worked well this series and where we can improve. We’ll share feedback with senior examiners and subject teams to help shape future assessments and the support we provide.

If you can spare a few minutes, please complete the relevant survey below. Thank you.

Digital Sequencing Tool survey

We’ve had a lot of feedback on the Digital Sequencing Tool this series, and we’d really like to hear from you too.

If you’ve used the tool, please take a few minutes to complete our short survey. Your feedback will help us improve the tool and make it easier to use for future speaking assessments.

Post-results services

Although the exam series is still under way, now is a good time to start looking ahead to post-results services. This includes reviews of marking and access to scripts, so you’re ready to support students when results are released.

University Admissions Letter for International GCSE English as a Second Language

If your students are moving on to university, there’s a simple way to support recognition of their English proficiency. We’ve created a University Admissions Letter for International GCSE English as a Second Language (4XES2), which explains the qualification and its alignment to CEFR and GSE benchmarks across reading, writing, listening and speaking. It’s designed for admissions teams and helps give a clear, trusted picture of a student’s language ability at a key decision point.

Getting to know the new KS3 German and Spanish courses

If you’re starting to look ahead to Key Stage 3 planning, this webinar is a helpful introduction to the new Pearson German and Spanish courses, Genau! and Onda. Join Kate Bonail and Jérôme Garnier, MFL Advanced Specialists (Product Management), as they talk through the courses and what they offer.

As always, centres are free to use the resources that best suit their students when preparing for our qualifications, and Pearson resources are one option you may wish to explore.

Networks

Join us at our summer 2026 network events in Gloucestershire, Birmingham and Cumbria. These events are face-to-face opportunities for teachers delivering the new Pearson Edexcel GCSE (2024) in French, German and Spanish to come together and connect with colleagues from local schools to compare approaches, share good practice, and explore future collaboration and partnerships.

If you would like to attend, please use the registration links below. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage early registration to avoid disappointment.

Refreshments will be available on the day.

We are also working on network events in other parts of the country, so watch this space for further updates.

2026 Men's Football World Cup free resources

These free resources from Mingalaba are designed to be engaging and easy to use, while building on students’ existing language knowledge. The activities include quizzes, games and other familiar MFL approaches.

They also help students stretch a little further, with opportunities to practise tenses, more complex structures and new vocabulary in a manageable way. The materials can be adapted easily for different classes.

Football terminology is used lightly, so students do not need any prior knowledge to take part.

They’re a useful way to keep pupils motivated, save planning time and support learning through to the end of term.

How to get in touch

If you’re unsure about guidance, processes or where to find the right information, please do get in touch. We’re here to help, especially at this busy point in the year. All the details are at the bottom of this page.

You can also book a 15 minute 1 to 1 Teams meeting with me for administrative questions or general guidance – for example, clarifying requirements, timelines, processes or where to find support. These short sessions are designed to be focused and practical. Please note that I’m not able to look at or mark student work, but I’m very happy to help you navigate guidance and next steps.
